THE SALEM UNITED COMMUNITY

Who Are We!

The Salem United Community is made up of a diverse community of all races creeds and colors, but since our mission is to preserve and protect Black History we made up of an African Diaspora. It consists of a worldwide collection of communities and nations, which are decedents from Africa, predominantly in Latin America

When Salem United, Inc speaks of “Black” it is a term used to show unit amongst those that identify with their African roots.

The slave trade disrupted individual cultures and tribes that were in Africa and forced them to create many new unique, yet loosely connected, cultures in the new world.

What sprang out of that tragedy was supposed to be a new nation and culture of African descent, but we have had to continue to demonstrate to the world the resiliency of humans. Economic inequality has gotten much worse and now we have medical inequality and for the black community is dire.

This is why the work of Salem United, Inc is important, and it is up to you to put your resources into building the Black and Communities of Color!
