Celebrating Black Heritage & Legacy through Festivals & Parade
Our celebratory culture includes festivals, local gatherings and events where many African Americans gathered with music, dance and food. Behind Negro Election Day is a purpose. Its celebration taps into our roots and Black culture deserves to be celebrated constantly and free of fear.
The Entertainment section of the festival is an honor to the ancestors who performed at the first Negro Election Day since 1639. We are excited to carry on the tradition and legacy that these hero's left behind.
Festival will showcase a range of activities in 2026
Music:
Performances that include hip-hop, jazz, R&B, reggae, gospel and other diverse musical talents within the community.
Dance and Theater:
Performances that include dance and theater elements often reflect the community's artistic expression and cultural identity.
Spoken Word and Poetry:
Performances that a poetic form and words focusing on sound, rhythm.
